We want to share our love of Scottish and Irish culture, entertain you and give you a great value for your money. Admission $10 daily. Free parking. Free admission for children 12 and under. Admission includes all games and entertainment. Beverages, Food and Vendor products, Rock Climbing Wall, Bounce House & Obstacle Course charge separately.

The Scottish Highland Games & Celtic Music Festival will be held on the Mississippi Gulf Coast at the Harrison County Fairgrounds, Gulfport, MS November 14th & 15th, 2009. Over 4,500 attendance is expected.

This year two major Scottish Athletic Events will be presented for the first time in the State of Mississippi.

  1. Mississippi State Women's Amateurs Championship

  2. The North-South Challenge Cup sanctioned by the Southeastern Scottish Amateur Athletic Association.

Again this year Scottish Athletics Amateurs will be participating in A’s, B’s, and Master’s Divisions of competitions.

Gulf Coast Running Club will conduct running events including a kilted half mile.
 

 

The Celtic Music Festival provides well-rounded family oriented entertainment. There’s something for all ages. Entertainment on three stages featuring Red McWilliams, The Highland Reign, New Orleans Strathspey and Reel Society, Blarney Coast, Luke Brechtelsbauer – Scottish Harper, 12th Louisiana String Band, Fathers of Waters Pipes and Drums, Emerald Coast Pipe and Drum, Mississippi Magic Dancers, Jackson Irish Dancers, Southern Vybe Cloggers, and others will perform. Enjoy your favorites nonstop all weekend long at the “Main Arena”, “The St. Andrews Stage” and the “Ceilidh Barn”. Party with us at the ever popular Ceilidh Saturday Night! 
 

 
  The Knights of Valor will perform full Contact Jousting Irish vs Scottish twice daily. 
 
 
  Many family Clan booths will be set up including a genealogist who can assist you in your genealogy quest. Clan Douglas is this year's honored clan.  There will be a “Tartan Parade” Noon Saturday that opens the weekend festival, and a “Kirkin O'Tartan” Sunday morning.
 
 
  Celtic Merchandise vendors will present their wares and ample traditional foods will be served in the "Food Market". Several varieties of beverages will be available.
 
 
  Demonstrations of Border Collie/Sheep herding and Blacksmithing will be presented in "The Glen". The Society of Creative Anachronism will occupy a "Medieval Village" and present demonstrations of knight fighting and medieval living. Humane Society of South Mississippi will present a Celtic Caninesdog show in the Main Arena Sunday afternoon. Confederate Living History will be displayed in “Dixie Valley” and presented on the St. Andrews Stage.
 
 
  Children's activities include face-painting, Castle Building, crown, sword & shield making and entertainment by our top entertainers in the "Wee Bairns" area at no charge. Nearby Children's Rock Climbing and bounce activities sold separately.
